To strengthen the skills of the student-leaders of this campus, the Supreme Student Council of Capiz State University sponsored the 2nd Leadership Training last September 5 at the CapSU Auditorium of this institution with the theme: “Leadership towards good governance: Enhancing the characters of a person to produce quality and competent leaders.”
The said training was participated in by the national, department, and local officers of the said institution including the barangay captains and the board members. It aimed to produce quality and competent leaders out from the officers of the institution and also to improve the personal traits of student-leaders.
The training seminar began with the opening remarks of Dr. Evaristo M. Magoncia, unit chancellor of this institution, followed by an inspirational message from Dr. Belma Ubugan, director of Student Affairs.
The keynote speaker of the said training was Dr. Rochellir Dadivas, president emeritus of this institution who discussed about “10 mistakes of the leader and servant leadership.” He was followed by Rogie Dadivas who discussed on “how to tap the leadership potential of the students.” After the lunch break, Gilda D. Bernas spoke about “parliamentary procedures” which were pivotal in the conduct of every meeting of the organization. The last speaker was Vicmar B. Solano who discussed about recollection.
The training seminar ended with a closing remarks from Romely Alcorano, Supreme Student Council Adviser.
